From 26 to 29 August 2019, the Holding of woodworking industry organizations «BORWOOD» made a business visit to London, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. During the visit, we held meetings with the largest importers of slab products and lumber, aimed at expanding the range and volume of supplies of Belarusian woodworking products to the United Kingdom.The Belarusian delegation included the Chairman of the Board of JSC «Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus» A.K. Zhishkevich and his first deputy T.V.Sosnovskaya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Ireland holding part-time office S.F.Aleynik and senior adviser D.V.Sudas, Director of the management company of the Holding «BORWOOD» A.L.Zhirenkov and leading regional manager of JSC «Belarusian Forest Company» D.V.Prokopov.
As a result of negotiations with existing and potential customers and during visits to warehouses and production sites, the participants managed to identify the trends and prospects for the import of woodworking goods by British companies, including after the UK's exit from the EU on 31 October 2019 and also highlighted areas of work in logistics. The agreements on the supply of products of the «BORWOOD» Holding were concluded.
